October 15, 2009 -- Spanish photovoltaic engineering and supply company PROINSO has signed a collaboration agreement with Belgian engineering company Nizet to provide modules, inverters, and fixed structures for Belgium’s largest solar farm—a 3MW output facility in Ivarem.
The PV plant is expected to open in December, working in combination with a methane facility. When in full operation, the Ivarem installation will represent 3% of the country’s entire photovoltaic output capabilities.
In addition to engineering and design guidance and training of qualified staff, PROINSO will provide 3MW of Trina Solar modules (235 Wp, 14.4% efficiency), 270 SMA inverters, 266 Mecasolar fixed structures, plus communications and monitoring equipment.
