Apex BP Solar Off-Grid Department transferred to Phaesun France SAS

January 14, 2011 -- Due to its growth and a correspondingly growing customer base, BP Solar has decided to work with specialized Off-Grid Master Partners to be able to provide its customer network and key accounts with an efficient and high quality service.

In this context, BP Solar and Phaesun GmbH agreed on the transfer of the Off-Grid systems department of the French BP Solar subsidiary to Phaesun. In the future, Phaesun GmbH from Memmingen/Germany will lead the department as a new branch under the name Phaesun France SAS. With this step, Phaesun combines its core competencies in the area of photovoltaics and wind energy with the BP Solar expertise in pumping systems and telecommunication systems.

Research, development and production are consolidated under one roof in the southern French town of Vendargues, near Montpellier. The new branch focuses on solutions for the telecommunication and the Oil and Gas sector in Africa and the Middle East. The corresponding product range has been taken over by holding Phaesun in Germany. It complements the existing Phaesun product portfolio in a way that the company expects to increase technical opportunities.

The managing director of Phaesun France SAS is the former head of the Off-Grid department of Apex BP Solar, Michel Mansard. His team consists of seven former employees of the Off-Grid department. "Phaesun is creating a unique off-grid dedicated structure with worldwide distribution and project capabilities," explains Mansard. "The foundation of Phaesun France SAS offers new possibilities to both companies. BP Solar keeps a fully operational access to its quality products for tomorrow's solar energy markets."

Phaesun France are experts in the field of industrial Off-Grid-projects in the oil and gas industry and in the telecommunication sector, says Tobias Zwirner, CEO of Phaesun. "In combination with our expertise in sales, logistics and supply chain management, new synergies will be created."

Phaesun GmbH is a service, sales and marketing specialist in off-grid photovoltaic and wind energy systems. Learn more at www.phaesun.com.
