  • Thu Dec 23 00:12:00 CST 2004 -- Merger gives C Sixty stability, CNI access to medical markets
Nanomaterial and biotech companies usually make for unlikely bedfellows. But on Tuesday, a manufacturer of carbon nanotubes and a startup that uses a relative of nanotubes for drug applications announced that they had merged. The merger will give carbon nanotube manufacturer Carbon Nanotechnologies Inc. an avenue for developing drugs or other medical products. C Sixty Inc., which will become a wholly owned subsidiary of CNI, will get financial security as well as business support.

  • Mon Nov 01 00:11:00 CST 2004 -- Personal relations break through cultural barriers
The occasional social blunders were expected. The frequent moments of shared laughter were not. But the successful alliance of partners as seemingly mismatched as an American nanotechnology startup and a Japanese corporation require the same foundations as a good friendship: mutual interests, respect, patience and trust.
  • Thu Oct 28 00:10:00 CDT 2004 -- Team-based approach integrates technologies into products
Why would Lockheed Martin, with 50,000 scientists and engineers, more software engineers than Microsoft, and more than 900 facilities worldwide, make establishing partnerships a priority? The answer is simple and lies within our motto: "We never forget who we're working for," which means we try to provide the best technology solutions possible at an affordable price.
  • Wed Oct 20 00:10:00 CDT 2004 -- Trumpeter turns 'Nanotech' into sounds of science
John McNeil doesn't need million-dollar machinery or a state-of-the-art lab to self-assemble little bits into a multi-layered system. His tool is a trumpet, and a small space on stage or in a studio will do quite nicely. The New York-based musician's new album on the OmniTone label, "Sleep Won’t Come," features a tune called "Nanotech."
