Boston Semi Equipment brings fab equipment leasing to Japan

11/11/2011

November 11, 2011 - Marketwire -- Boston Semi Equipment LLC (BSE Group) established Boston Semi K.K. in Tokyo, Japan, for customers of its flexible financing on front-end and back-end semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

The subsidiary is led by Bryan J Banish, Representative Director, who is COO of BSE Group. Masao Higuchi serves as the Sales Manager for the company.

Boston Semi K.K. allows for all lines of BSE Group businesses to be conducted in Japan but will focus primarily on providing flexible financing to the semiconductor capital equipment market in Japan. Traditionally, the equipment financing model in Japan did not allow for equipment to be returned, making room for newer technology. Through partnerships with Japanese financial institutions, Boston Semi K.K. will provide operating leases to semiconductor companies in both front-end fabrication tools as well as back-end equipment used for test and assembly.

The subsidiary comes at a time of "profound change in the Japanese manufacturing sector," said Banish. He notes that the old style of "buying capacity based upon the anticipated need for it" is giving way to flexible equipping options that "match capacity with today's demand."

Boston Semi K.K. provides equipment valuation, flexible lease options, and the opportunities for customers to buy equipment from and sell to the secondary market. Learn more at www.bostonsemicon.co.jp
