May 14, 2012 -- Asia-based ASM Pacific Technology (ASMPT) Group, a supplier of semiconductor assembly, bonding, and packaging equipment, will integrate with the SIPLACE organization in Europe. ASMPT acquired SIPLACE as a business unit under the name ASM Assembly Systems in 2011. SIPLACE’s advanced sales and service network and back-office support functions will expand ASMPT’s European business.
ASMPT’s European team, headquartered in the Netherlands, will integrate with the SIPLACE organization and be led by Hubert Herzberg, previously director of the SIPLACE product management.
“Herzberg will make sure that the integration process will not focus on internal organizational questions, but on the requirements of the market and the benefits for our users,” said SIPLACE CEO Günter Lauber, who expressed confidence in the synergies between ASMPT and SIPLACE.
